Montmartre in Paris

A charming discovery during our visit to Paris, Montmartre is perched on the highest spot in the city. You’ll start by climbing stairs up to the stunning Sacré-Cœur basilica. In the nicer months, the lawn is covered with picnics and people. Ensure you check the time for sunset to have an unobstructed and breathtaking view of Paris at dusk. The idyllic town doesn’t stop here: walk behind the basilica and you’ll find cobblestone roads, quaint homes, small restaurants, wine shops and coffee shops. One of our favorite experiences here was searching for a secret, speakeasy bar within the Le Tres Particulier boutique hotel. It is a tropical inspired bar serving fun and delicious cocktails in the basement. It felt unique and a mix up to our previous Paris wine nights, making it extra special and memorable.
