It was a beautiful day in July when we planned to hike Mist Trail at Yosemite National Park. We dressed perfectly for the weather in hats, tanks, shorts, leggings, gym shoes and hiking boots for a 7 mile round trip climb. The boys carried the backpacks with the sandwiches, snacks, waters and sunscreens. The girls carried the phones for photo ops.
The first part is decently easy but steep in places. The second part, when the stone steps begin, is quite exhausting. The third leg is coming back down, which honestly is a little hard on the shins. But it is worth the soreness the next day, as you will get in an amazing workout with some of the greatest views in the world! The pictures do not even do it justice!
On the first leg you will see Vernal Falls, but definitely go further to the Nevada Fall, as the views here are even more beautiful, and less crowded. The hard work is worth it! You will see the most stunning views, walk under water falls, sit in streams, see wildlife and witness rainbows.
