Amalfi Coast
Fly into Naples for a quick drive to the Amalfi Coast. Enjoy some Napoli pizza and beautiful architecture before heading out on a trip to the coast. Book a private transfer to tour the historic Pompeii, visit the Cantina del Vesuvio Winery and get dropped off in Ravello.
Ravello is an absolute must to discover the mountaintop views of the coast. In a town known for its beauty and gardens, you can spend a full day exploring.
Take a day trip to Amalfi (no need to spend more time there as it is very touristy) to enjoy a lemon tour and nice lunch.
From Ravello, head to Positano for your next stay in this notable seaside town. The activity is non stop in Positano with plenty of beaches, cooking classes, churches, restaurants, bars, art and shopping.
Unfortunately our boat day and transfer was cancelled because the waves were too high due to a storm. The original plan was to get picked up on the beach of Positano with all our luggage, take a boat to Capri, see the Blue Grotto, explore Capri and then get back on the boat for a cruise into Naples. Even though we had to drive back, I still recommend looking into boating it!
Tuscany
Go from Naples to Florence via train. It is fast, easy and relaxing!
My favorite part about Florence was exploring and walking the stunning streets. I especially loved popping into markets and sandwich shops to pick up wine, cheese, bread and meats for a picnic at the highest point in the city, Piazzale Michelangelo. There are plenty of more sight seeing opportunities including climbing the Giotto’s Bell Tower, Piazza del Duomo, Cupola del Bruncelleschi, Accademia Gallery and The David. And there is nothing wrong with prioritizing views + a cocktail, which you can enjoy at the Westin Excelsior and Rinascente Firenze rooftop. Don’t sleep on the shopping either! Whether you check out the street vendors, shop at Zara or peruse Gucci, there are shops at all price levels. The shopping experience in itself is special.
While Florence is a hot destination, the Tuscan countryside brings another desirable side of Italy into the fold. The Italian villas, quaint and historic towns and rolling hills with vineyards are truly the dream. Tour wineries including, Antinori, Marchesi Mazzei and Felsina. Go to the spa to relax or rent e-bikes for some exercise. Eat pasta and drink wine all day, every day. Ending your trip in Tuscany can allow you to go home without needing a vacation from your vacation.
